Naadu Pvt Ltd is pleased to share the successful completion of the Sarstedt Refreshment Training at two of the country’s leading public hospitals Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) and Hulhumalé Hospital (HMH). This initiative, tailored for newly hired and current nursing staff, focused on reinforcing high-quality blood collection practices and reducing pre-analytical errors that can affect laboratory results and patient outcomes.
The training was designed to address a critical but often overlooked part of healthcare: the pre-analytical phase, the first step in any laboratory test, beginning at the moment of blood collection. Common errors such as hemolysis, clotted samples, insufficient volume, or improper mixing may occur at this stage and can compromise the accuracy of test results, cause delays in diagnosis, and even lead to unnecessary repeat blood draws.
To prevent such issues, the sessions provided hands-on guidance and practical refreshers on how to properly use Sarstedt blood collection systems. Participants explored real-case scenarios, reviewed best practices, and engaged in open discussions that helped bridge theory with real-world bedside application.
