Naadu, with the support of Sarstedt UAE Headquarters and in collaboration with Ms. Gladys Alvarez, Senior Sales Product Specialist, conducted a focused training session for the Maldivian Blood Services and the Thalassaemia Centre at Orange Hiyaa.
The session emphasized the importance of standardized blood collection practices, reinforcing the need to work as one coordinated system to ensure consistency, safety, and reliable diagnostic outcomes across the country.
A key focus was the S-Monovette Blood Collection System, which combines vacuum and aspiration techniques to provide better control during collection. This is particularly important in blood bank operations and thalassaemia care, where maintaining sample integrity is critical. By reducing hemolysis and improving sample quality, the system supports more accurate results and minimizes the need for repeat sampling an essential benefit for patients requiring frequent monitoring and transfusions.
The strong engagement from participants reflects a shared commitment to improving clinical practices. This initiative also highlights Naadu’s role in bridging gaps in healthcare through practical solutions, training, and close collaboration with healthcare providers.
