As part of the ongoing collaboration between Naadu and Villa College, a highly successful S-Monovette® Blood Collection Training was recently conducted for the Villa College Nursing students and Phlebotomy class. The training was designed to equip students with one of the most essential clinical skills they will need in their future careers — safe, accurate, and confident blood collection
The session was led by our in-house product specialist, who delivered a comprehensive lecture covering the principles of venipuncture, safety protocols, and the unique benefits of using the S-Monovette® system. While the focus included S-Monovette®, the training was not limited to this device alone. The theory was presented in a generalized manner to prepare students for any blood collection system they might encounter during their assignments, ensuring they can adapt their skills to different equipment and clinical settings. Students gained valuable insights into how S-Monovette® enhances specimen quality while improving both patient comfort and collector safety.
Following the lecture, the training moved into the hands-on practice and demonstration phase. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm as students observed the live demonstration of proper blood collection techniques. They eagerly participated in on-hand return demonstrations, practicing each step with close guidance from the trainer.
Students from both the nursing and phlebotomy courses expressed how much they enjoyed the interactive nature of the training. Many remarked on the importance of this opportunity, as it allowed them to experience the actual blood collection process before stepping into clinical placements. Some even volunteered to be collection subjects for their peers, enabling them to understand not just the technical side, but also the patient’s perspective.
This training is more than just a skill-building exercise it is a critical step in preparing future healthcare professionals to perform with competence and confidence in real clinical settings. By familiarizing students with industry-standard equipment and techniques, the program strengthens their readiness for professional practice.
